Tried & Truth: Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint

Sometimes you don’t want heavy foundation , especially now that I suspect most people are going a little less on their base layers. So skin tints and tinted moisturizers are just the thing to bridge the gap for a little bit of coverage, a makeup base and the perfect fit for those no makeup makeup days. Since my favourite Makeup Forever Blurring Skin Tint was discontinued I have been on the hunt for a new one and this offering from Fenty seemed to fit the bill. But did it ease my complexion and blur my imperfections - keep reading to find out.

Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint | Fenty Beauty

WHAT IS IT?
A lightweight, buildable light-to-medium coverage skin tint that leaves skin looking blurred and smoothed in flexible shades for all. It claims to quickly and visibly even out complexion with a blurred effect with its HydraBlend complex and humidity, sweat, and transfer-resistant formula has a smooth texture that layers well with primer and skincare.

WHAT’S NICE ABOUT IT

Free of parabens and phthalates. It is also vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty-free.
It covers a wide range of shades so everyone can find their match.

APPLICATION REFLECTION & EXPERIENCE

I had really high hopes for this skin tint as from all the media surrounding its release it looked like lightweight, hydrating and blurring.

I would definitely apply with fingers versus a brush. Brush application just seemed to move the product around and make streaks or soak up the product in the brush itself. Fingers gave me the desired application and spread out nice and even.

When I fist opened the bottle I panicked thinking I had bought a shade that was WAY too dark for me but once I got it on my skin turns out the shade was perfect. I highly recommend using the shade finding information on the Fenty website.

It was a lightweight and more watery than I expected. Application with fingers was effortless and it applied well to the skin. I also did not find it overly hydrating or drying upon application or throughout the day. I did like the smooth finish it gave me but it did not blur imperfections. It was however, once dried, transfer proof. It also played well with products I placed over it including blush, concealer and setting powder.

FINAL THOUGHTS

This is extremely MINIMAL coverage so if you are looking for something that is going to blur and hide your problem areas this is likely not the one for you, unless you want to apply layer over layer. Overall, it’s a nice product, I am enjoying its lightweight formula and it does not irritate my sensitive skin which is good for no-makeup makeup days.
I think I will reserve it for when my skin is at its finest and I don’t need that extra coverage as it does not blur and hide as much as I would like where dis-colouration or uneven texture are concerned without applying and building with copious amounts.
If you are however, looking for another lightweight foundation that hides those imperfections while still giving a dewy lightweight skin-like finish I would try the Armani Beauty Neo Nude Foundation (CAD $58 USD $40).
