I love skincare oils. Whether they are cleansing or serum based the oilier the better.

I have sensitive skin that is not a fan of these winter months. I am always wanting to find ways to comfort it with a solid and nourishing cleansing routine.

I am already in love with the La Roche-Posay Lipikar line ( see posts here and here ) so when I saw a cleansing oil I knew I had to give it a try. Oils always have agreed with my skin and I really enjoy their texture. so when I saw an oil I knew I had to give it a try. Oils always have agreed with my skin and I really enjoy their texture.

WHAT IS IT?
Lipid-replenishing anti-itching cleansing oil. Cleansing agents selected for optimum tolerance. The niacinamide and shea butter formula moisturizes and restores the hydrolipidic film intensely to help restore the skin barrier and to provide comfort to the skin while soothing the tightness feeling due to dry skin.

GOOD FOR
Providing the skin with the lipids required for restoring the skin barrier. It also protects the skin against the drying effects of hard water.

HOW TO USE
My personal preference is the shower application which is to place a few drops in the palm of the hand and apply to moist skin.
In the bath, pour 2 to 3 capfuls into the bath water.
In both applications - Rinse gently. Dry without rubbing.

WHAT’S NICE ABOUT IT

Neutral PH, Soap Free, Alcohol Free, Dye Free and Paraben Free.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I really like the consistency of the oil as it is not too heavy and works into a beautifully rich lather. The scent is a little strong, however it smells fresh, clean and pleasant but it also dissipates readily. Afterward skin does feel nourished and there is no itch to be found. My dry eczematic skin loves it and it will be definetly be a nice addition to my winter skincare routine.
