This months Sephora Play! items are all about a beauty staycation. See below for all my thoughts on everything I found inside my SephoraPlay! box and whether you should love it, leave it, try it or buy it.

What Is It?
A black-and-white swirled charcoal face mask that detoxifies, minimizes the appearance of pores, and balances the skin's hydration levels. The Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash-Off Treatment promises to refine pores while lifting away impurities and excess oil, without leaving skin feeling dry, irritated, or stripped thanks to the combination of black and white charcoal and Kaolin clay.

What’s Nice About It?
This product is dermatologist tested and safe for sensitive skin. It is free of preservatives, artificial fragrances and colorants, gluten, and ethanol alcohol.

This product is a NewBeauty 2017 Beauty Choice Award winner.
First Impression
It just looked REALLY cool – with the swirls of both the black and white charcoal. This product intrigued me with its promises to rid my skin of impurities without leaving it dry and irritated. But the smell - this smell is not for the faint of heart - it is very, very strong. So if you like your products to have a sweet smell or leave a fresh fragrance that lingers while you luxuriate this is not the one for you.
Application Reflection
I applied it and it went on smooth - similar to other clay like masks before. I decided to try only 10 minutes for the first use as to make sure it did not irritate my skin. It did not dry down like other masks and still maintained a smooth pudding-like consistency on my skin until I went to remove it. Washing it off was easy and did not leave any residue or require scrubbing.
Where I Stand
I did have reservations about this product when I initially pulled it out of my bag. The word “intensive” on it coupled with the intense smell left me with visions of irritated skin, however, I was wrong – I was pleasantly surprised by its effectiveness. Despite the harsh smell it left my skin feeling extremely smooth and looking hydrated. I will be testing this out again but the jury is still out on whether or not I will repurchase a full size for $50.00 CAD.
Love It, Leave It, Try It, Buy It
Try It , Love It - If you are in search of a good charcoal mask I would recommend testing this one out even if you have sensitive skin. It is a great introduction to the boscia brand.
MILK MAKEUP Cooling Water

What’s Nice About It?
It promises to de-puff eyes in an instant and hydrate skin with this convenient gel stick. Infused with seawater to soothe skin and caffeine to support micro-circulation, the vegan Cooling Water instantly energizes and restores glow.
First Impression
When I first removed the lid the stick fell all the way out of its packaging (not a great start) I managed to get it back into its casing I gave it a sniff - it had a pleasant light and fresh scent.
Application Reflection
I first applied the product after being outside in the hot humidity - it soothed and cooled on contact. It was smooth, not sticky but did ball up a little if you went over the area too many times therefore I would recommend one direction when applying.
Other Niceties
Milk Makeup is a paraben-free, eco-conscious, innovative cruelty free product line.
Where I Stand
After a few days use I have grown to like this product more and more. My favourite use is definitely a swipe under my eyes to de-puff – it really does make an immediate difference and feels great.

Love It & Buy It - If you are a low maintenance girl on the go- this is a must have for you to carry with you to keep your skin looking energized and fresh at all times.

Creamy, velvety, gliding on without any pull, this liquid lipstick is available in 20 intensely-pigmented, kissable shades that are primer-infused and packed with moisturizing ingredients that counteract dryness.
First Impression
When I swatched the colour I thought it was a gorgeous a pinky mauve - a must have and do have colour in my collection. It also smelled of sweet vanilla.
Application Reflection
The application was smooth, but you needed to use a lot of precision with the applicator as its mousse-like formula was easy to smudge, I immediately noticed it sinking into my lines on my lips. What initially felt comfortable on the lips turned drying once it set.
Where I Stand
If I could keep the colour and the smell but change the formula I would likely purchase but I do have other products with similar colours that I just love more like my Buxom Full On Lip Creamin “Blushing Margarita” or Anastasia Beverley Hills in “Vintage”

Leave It - It just doesn’t compare to other similar coloured products with a better formula.

First Impression
At first it seems pretty typical, nice brush, good colour payoff and easy to apply.
Application Reflection
The first time I applied it – it went on smooth and seemed to coat my lashes nicely, they felt conditioned and looked voluminous and longer.
Other Niceties
Powerful lash-lifting polymers, volumizing collagen, strengthening biotin, proteins, and peptides combined with super black pigment.This product was developed with surgeons and dermatologists. It is clinically tested, talc-free, and cruelty-free.
Where I Stand
The more I use this mascara the more I love it, application after application it seems to just hold up. It lengthens, volumizes, has great colour payoff and it looks better over time. I also like all the ingredients such as collagen, biotin, proteins and peptides and knowing that all of those ingredients have been tested and won’t give my sensitive eyes any problems. If you are looking for a new mascara that really is the whole package - this is it.

Love It & Buy It – It has been a long time since I found a mascara that really lived up to all the hype. I will be purchasing a full size and it is quickly becoming a new love.
Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray
Good For: All Hair Types

What Is It?
An ultra-light, leave-in conditioning spray that brings hydration and moisture to locks without weighing them down.
What’s Nice About It?
It promises to reduce flyaways, enhance manageability, strengthen, protect against heat and UV rays, and nourish tresses. Fortified with a unique blend of rosehip, argan, and coconut oils, this milky and 96 percent naturally-derived complex effectively restores moisture levels and softness.
First Impression
Good looking ingredients I do tend to like in my hair products and pleasant scent.
Application Reflection
It did have a nice spray, kept my hair soft and it felt protected during my blow-dry and actually seemed to leave a little extra texture.
Other Niceties
Adds softness and shine, Diminishes frizz, Shields from heat and UV rays. This product is free of gluten, silicones, DEA, and artificial dyes. It is vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, and safe for color-treated, karatin-treated, and relaxed hair.
Where I Stand
I would likely invest in another travel bottle because the scent is nice and it seems to really keep my hair smooth and soft. If you are new to hair conditioning sprays OR if you are looking for a new hair conditioning product - I think this is a great one to try.

Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine Cologne
Item 1447960• Size 1 oz/ 30 mL
This perfume is touted as a zesty and energizing burst of crushed ripe fruit, plays off sweet blood orange juice against bitter orange peel and sensual notes of geranium.
I have received this sample before and it is unfortunately just not really for me – but if you like bright fruit filled scents this is a beautiful option.
Overall
I think this box was a great one allowed me to try multiple brands I have not previously tried.
My loves would have to be the IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara. MILK MAKEUP Cooling Water, boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash-off Treatment, and the Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray.
